AMIA

AMIA (Association of Moving Image Archivists) is an international nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and use of moving image media. AMIA supports public and professional education and connects a global network of media professionals working across archives, libraries, universities, studios, broadcasters, cultural institutions, and related organizations.

APA

The Archival Producers Alliance (APA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to elevating the role of archival producers in nonfiction media and promoting the value, protection, and preservation of authentic archival materials. Founded in 2023, APA represents a growing network of more than 600 archival producers in the U.S. and internationally, advancing industry standards, preservation initiatives, and professional development through advocacy, research, and outreach.

FIAT/IFTA

International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA) is the leading professional association for those engaged in the preservation and exploitation of broadcast archives. Founded in 1977, FIAT/IFTA promotes co-operation amongst radio and television archives, multimedia and audiovisual archives and libraries, and all those engaged in the preservation and exploitation of moving image and recorded sound materials and associated documentation.

FOCAL

FOCAL International (Federation of Commercial Audiovisual Libraries) is a specialist, professional, not-for-profit trade association formed in 1985. It is fully established as one of the leading voices in the industry which represents the footage and content libraries in over 30 countries, the archive producers, researchers, consultants and facility companies.

FootageFest

FootageFest brings content buyers and sellers together, as well as celebrating the innovative repurposing of third-party content. FootageFest continues to attract dozens of niche footage libraries, hundreds of archive and clearance professionals, producers, studio licensing reps, and regional footage research reps from Toronto, Mexico City, New York, as well as across the Atlantic – from the U.K., Ireland and, yes, The Middle East.

SAA

Founded in 1936, the Society of American Archivists (SAA) is North America’s oldest and largest national professional association dedicated to the needs and interests of archives and archivists. SAA represents more than 6,200 professional archivists employed by governments, universities, businesses, libraries, and historical organizations nationally.
